So I revisited Spiced Apple Pie because I wanted to try the lattice decorations again, but I realised that to do the lattice decorations, I need another kind of pastry, probably the mealy dough. I still didn’t get decoration I wanted, so I’ll try again! I had to do cut outs in the end and I guess that works too. This was a recipe I did earlier, so here’s the link.

The difference in the decoration is that I did cut outs and then used the cut outs as decorations on the pie lids. I quite like the decoration. For the next try, I’ll probably do the same crust for the base and use the mealy dough to do the top, I still have not given up on the look I was looking for. I like the non baked version though.
