So a friend sent a video on creative Valentine’s Day cookies where some cookies are cut out in the middle and clear candies are melted over the cut out and then sprinkles are placed in the clear candied portion and placed over with another cookie, creating a lovely window of sprinkles that jingle prettily when you shake it a little. I couldn’t resist and did a little research on these cookies and tried to make my version. Just as expected, it did not work out as I wanted because the mint candies I used did not create a clear window, so, note to self, use isomalt next time. Nonetheless, I bravely gave these cookies away, I think they taste okay still since I used white chocolate to decorate and ‘stick’ the sprinkles to the cookies. Here’s the photo of how these were put together. For the cookies, it’s just the sweet pastry that I did earlier.
